Prodigy

When I played this game called prodigy I thought that it was boring because it had hard questions like five hundred and seventy six times eighty five, but when I started to play for long it started to be cool. Also you can get spells by leveling up and you could get life by a crystal stone.

Speech Marks

On my test for speech marks I got ten out of ten(100%) in, one go. Also everyone you could use speech marks when someone, is talking, an example "Hi Tom. Can I play with you?" asked Jeff.
"Stop poking me," giggled Bob.
You should, remember things that you learn so you don't have to learn it again.

This term we were focusing on geometry and we created, 3D shapes using nets. Also I created a cone it was hard as well. When I finished it looked like a ice cream cone, When I turned it over. Also it had 2 Faces, 1 edge and one corner. It was hard and it took me 2 days just to finish my work.

Term 1-Week 6

Gosh the time has just zoomed by- can't believe we're half way through the term already!

Students are now really focussing on their inquiry into the Omaru Stream. Have a chat with your tamariki about their learning and maybe take a walk to the stream - you may be pleasantly
surprised!

The Omaru Stream runs through the centre of Glen Innes to the Tamaki River. Over time the condition of the stream has deteriorated and it is our goal to improve the condition of the stream.

Today was our final lesson for badminton  the coach name is Kylie . But there was four lessons that we did. They were backhand serve forehand thum up and thumb down, frying pan, overhead and underarm also handshake with the racquet.
We had to do a warm up Then when we finish that. Also we had to learn how to serve properly with the racquet and the shuttlecock. After when we finish that you have to  get a buddy to play together. We had fun but I felt sorry for saia so I let him play with us. So I just let them play together. Then it was me and Natuarii played after that I was mad because I didn't hit the dumb shuttlecock. But a few minutes ago we were finished.

Term 1-Week 4

It was really  good meeting so many parents at the 'Meet the Teacher' picnic on Tuesday. Thank you to those parents who took time out of their busy schedules to come to school. If you were unable to attend on Tuesday, please pop by when you're able-it would be great to meet you! It is important that we work together to ensure the best outcomes for your child.

Swimming continues with the coaches for three more weeks, thereafter lessons will continue with classroom teachers. Students are reminded to bring their togs to school everyday, rain or shine!

On Thursday, Rooms 10,11 and 12 got to spend the day at St Heliers Beach. We played games, built sandcastles and most importantly .... swam! It was a fantastic day and it was made even better by having some families join us. An amazing day of sun, sand and surf was had by all!
